An upside to the lighting scenario is that I was doubtful all along about the night ride up to Heysham for the 0200 ferry out. Let's see if the replacements do what they are supposed to. If so then the Streetfighter goes to the Manx.
The bike came with, of all things, a rear rack. I've replaced with grab handles but can easily switch to the rack and load it with soft luggage.
