After my friend Wolfgang told me in Suhl that this bike had a clever way of engaging higher gears for road sections of the ISDT I had to go back to Santon for another look. The left handlebar grip can be unlocked and twisted like an old scooter gearchange. This engages a higher ratio front sprocket much like a bicycle does.
