Bring back dustbin fairings ?

Hi,

I wonder if the 3 discs of a front wheel being turned across still air at 200mph at corner entry could cause chatter ? Would a dustbin fairing make any difference ? Could any cross wind problems be dialled out by electronic aids that could be transferred to road bikes without dustbin fairings ?

Suzuki RG500 Mk 1

It turns out that this bike is ex Phil Read and subsequent to the VJMC starting it up in The Griffin car park at Mears Ashby was ridden by Niall Mackenzie at the recent Spa Classics event. He called it a thing that only worked above 7k with power at 10-11k which bears out statements from a VJMC member who had also recently ridden it. Apparently valued at £30k.

Tomorrow is Festival of 1000 bikes and the ZX6R is due out on track. Weather forecast is heavy rain today and on/off rain tomorrow. Mmmm. Greasy track, brand new tyres, groups of eejits, its looking like a non starter.
Maybe it will have stopped raining by August for Donington.

One of those days - plural

Went over to VJMC show on Sunday to see bikes but by 1400 they had packed up. So after 2 club nights of being subjected to rants against VJMC hierachy, 3 requests for stickers + request for CRMC tickets then this I am unimpressed.
Got home to see nail in front tyre. Oh by the way newly fitted fork seals pissing oil on front tyre and discs but told they need bedding in. Bollocks. Seals either seal or they don't. Ethel never did this. Anyway decided to go for it and fit new Michelin Pure front and rear. Dilemma - either inflate tyre and risk sudden flat or play safe with Holts Tyreseal. Took safe option and was rewarded with sticky goop all over the bike blasted out of tyre hole + flat tyre. Now I'm in for pick up van cost + tyres + fitting.
All of this is for Mallory 1000 bikes this Saturday but the combination of suspect fork seals, brand new tyres, shit weather forecast + prospect of being out on track with fuckwits makes it looks like someone is telling me to skip it and wait for Donington in August when ZX6R should be 100% again.
